NSS

The University of Mumbai has given support to the NSS and encourages all youth to join the program. The vision of the scheme is to inculcate values of compassion and humanity and a feeling for the fellow person.
The combined participation in community service leads to a sense of involvement in the task of nation building. The motto ‘NOT ME, BUT YOU’ underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole.

The NSS attempts to develop in the young students a sense of social and civic responsibility and trains them to utilise their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems.

• The NSS unit of Universal College of Engineering, Vasai, have adopted Nagle village located in the district of Palghar. The camp began its course on 12th January 2019 and performing its activities and concluded it on 19th January 2019. A team of 25 students and 3 professors were the part of this camp.
• NSS team of Universal College of Engineering had organised fire safety drill (photos not available).
• A seminar on first aid was organised by Universal College of Engineering’s NSS team on 19th October 2018 at the seminar hall to deliver the idea about first aid.
• To emphasise awareness about Traffic and Safety rules the NSS members of Universal College of Engineering had invited the traffic police team to give a briefing on various safety norms for driving and importance of helmets and driving license.
