Message from the Architecture & Engineering team:
We were contracted by the client in 2011 with a scope of work that included Program development, Concept Master Plan, Schematic Design, Design Development, Contract/Procurement Documents & Construction Administration
The building was planned as the centerpiece of a virgin campus with a highway on one side and rivers on the other two sides.
With a strong vision to propel engineering and management education at the campus into the international arena, the overall building and its programs were not compared to that of a typical academic facility. Instead, the planning and design took cues from prominent research institutions and innovative companies that share similar functions in interdisciplinary thinking, collaboration, and research.
The building program consists of AICTE-mandated traditional instruction spaces including classrooms, tutorial rooms, drawing halls, seminar halls, engineering laboratories, workshops and computer laboratories with ancillary spaces such as faculty and administrative offices, library, lounges, and support spaces.
