    IIT Gandhinagar

    Universal College of Engineering students rocked the IIT Gandhinagar tech fest Amalthea by winning 1st prize in IIT Amalthea‘s event SEISMISM. UCoE students dashed the event floor by introducing and backing their ideas related to earthquake resistant building and creating the model for the same.

    IIT Bombay Techfest

    Students from UCoE participated at IIT Bombay techfest event Crane-o-Mania and won the title. UCoE’s three groups participated in the competition for designing a cantilever self balancing structuring popsicle structure to sustain maximum eccentric load and gave a tough fight to other college participants.

    IIT Hyderabad

    Department of Civil Engineering students attained first position in ‘Bridge Building Competition’ at IIT-Hydreabad at Elan-n-vision event. The design was unique and practical in approach.

    IIT Kanpur

    UCoE students were active participant in event of ‘Bridge Design Challenge’. Two teams of UCoE participated in IIT-K ‘Techkriti’. Out of which one team was first position and second team secured the first runner up.

    IIT Kharagpur

    Department of Civil Engineering student bagged the 1st and 2nd runnerup position at IIT Kharagpur ‘ Megalith’ 2018.
    MCGM Water Tunnel Project
    MCGM Water Tunnel project was taken by students from Civil Engineering Department at Powai shaft. The aim of this project was to improve the water supply.

    IIT Mumbai

    Students of Civil Engineering Department participated in IIT Bombay Aakar. Students got an opportunity to apply their subjective knowledge into practical implementation in various competition like Seismism, Bridge IT, Conqeur IT, poster presentation, ICES and Cenex. In Cenex model exhibition, UCoE students bagged 1st position on the idea of understanding the innovative concept of earthquake structure designing.

    IIT Varanasi Technex 2018

    UCoE students from Department of Civil won 1st position in Greenx competition and 1st runnerup in bridge IT competition at Technex, 2018 in Varanasi. In Greenx, students got the opportunity to present their innovative ideas on waste management and in bridge it, students displayed the design of cantilever self balancing structure using popsicle where they were able to exhibit innovative aesthetics of bridge using various designing software.

    Event Dipex

    Department of Civil Engineering students from second year secured the 1st position in project presentation in event DIPEX 2018 organised by Walchand College of Engineering Sangli in association of ABVP Maharashtra in Sangli. The topic for project was ‘Inflatable Rubber Dam’ where student exhibited the innovative concept of dam designing.

    Spectra

    Student from Department of Civil Engineering participated in paper presentation in event Spectra 2018 organized by Sardar Patel College of Engineering. The topic for paper presentation was earthquake resistant structure using voided slab system.

    IIT Bombay Remote Centre

    The remote centre is usually a reputed engineering college with good facility and infrastructure that acts as a host for the virtual classroom environment created by A-VIEW. We house the IIT Bombay Remote Centre. Our centre is a classroom from where our students, faculties and other participants can remotely attend lectures and interact with the faculty of IIT Bombay, located at their campus, from the comfort of our college classroom. The live lectures are transmitted at remote centres to our classroom using A-VIEW Software.

    Entrepreneurship Cell (E-cell)

    Universal College of Engineering is amongst those few technical institutes that has taken a grave initiative to endeavor the best future for their engineers. Members of this cell encourage the students to join this cell and then hand-hold them from the ideation stage to the implementation stage.

    E-Yantra and Robotics

    E-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) is a college level program under which encourage to setup robotics labs. E-Yantra is a project sponsored by MHRD through the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT). An initiative by IIT Bombay that aims to create the next generation of embedded systems engineers with a practical outlook to help provide practical solutions to some of the real world problems. The Lab is the Innovation hub for incubating B.E. projects. Students can participate in e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC), e-Yantra Ideas Competition (aYIC) and International Robotics Challenge (IRC). Students can attend e-Yantra Symposium(eYS) in IIT Bombay. The winners of this competition are offered summer internship at IITB through e-Yantra Summer Internship Program.

    Intercollegiate Competitions and Events:

    TAHUKO

    Internation Competition organized by the Gujarati Club to help students explore and enjoy trying out a myriad of activities right from rangoli to Raas Garba

    TANTROTSAV

    The Civil Department also added an element of engineering seriousness to the festive mood of Navratri by conducting ‘Tantrotsav’. The main intention behind the competition was to sharpen the skills of students and boost their application of theoretical knowledge. Events like Bridge Making, High Rise Structures (Chimney), Railway Station and Yard Planning, Airport Planning and Town Planning were some of the highlights of the event.

    VYRO

    UCoE organized VYRO tech fest with huge reception, total number of participation of 886 and footfall of 3550, there were total 29 events and 61 colleges which created a blaze in Vyro tech fest.

    SOUL of Universal

    In a bid to promote and celebrate the zeal and talent of the youth, the Annual Inter Collegiate Cultural Fest- SOUL Of Universal was organized for the fifth consecutive year. With its ‘Panchtatva’ theme, Soul of Universal 2017-2018 celebrated the harmony and integration that bind the five elements of nature – Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Space.

    4th National Level Project Exhibition cum Poster Presentation

    It is a national level event for the budding, aspiring engineers, academicians, for students of different colleges to present their technical ideas in the form of projects and posters. The purpose of the event was to provide a platform for young engineers to present their technical ideas. Participants in the events were from different diploma and degree colleges from Mumbai, Thane, etc. The event was a huge success as 391 groups participated in this event which had the count of 1427 participants from different engineering and diploma institutions.

    4th National Level Technical Paper Presentation

    Students from all over India presented their genius, technical knowledge and skills through this event. The total number of Technical Paper presented was 268 and total no. of participants were 723. Students from different domains presented their visions, thoughts and ideas through this event for innovative development in technical field. 4th National level Technical Paper Presentation provided students with a platform to display their views and plans for the change in technology.

Our final year students undergo a robust training program and several recruitment drives for various renowned companies. Our campus recruitment program organised in the penultimate semester of the program has successfully met the HR needs of leading recruiters.
